Zenith TransOceanic Radio G500 New updated Power Supply AM Works-Good Tubes

I am cleaning out my shop and need to get rid of some projects that either didn't get done or not even started. Some are tested and working, some tested and diagnosed. Please read escription carefully and ask any questions before you bid or buy. Once you purchase it. it is yours. My Tube Amp restoration business keeps me too busy to do my own stuff, with rare exceptions.
This is a decent Zenith TransOceanic H 500 Shortwave/BC Radio. In the 50's and up into 70's Zenith ruled the world of radios. They were the premier radio of the rich. Originally designed for use in far away places.
This unit has had all the tubes tested and replaced as needed. In addition it has a new power supply board installed to replace the original caps and resistors. These are a board available on eBay and are a great buy at . I tested it on AM and picked up quite a few stations. I did not spend any time on the Short Wave bands, which are best checked in the evenings. If you want everything to work to factory specs, you can get it aligned. I used to do this, but sold off my alignment generator years ago when I went to completely tube amp rebuilding. The case is far from perfect, as should be expected with anything that was used like these were. There is a small crack in the dial between the red buttons. Has the original suction cups and ant wire to place the wave magnet on a window for better reception. (cups are old and hard, but for display they are fine)Overall a very nice radio. Not collector grade!
I have a complete collection of all TransOceanics made including the 2 "military" models. The whole collection may be for sale, but it will be very expensive. In the mean time I have at least a half dozen of duplicate models, including some Leather covered Deluxe versions. Keep an eye out for these. I am replacing the power supply in all of them since most of the ones out there have failing capacitors.

I will ship as soon as I can after your payment. I use USPS Priority Mail with Delivery confirmation for small items, and Federal Express Home Delivery for larger items.

I want your item to reach you in great shape. I do NOT PROFIT from my shipping charges. Packing delicate items for survival is an art; it is time consuming and expensive. I charge only for the cost of the materials plus the actual shipping company costs. As examples, new boxes cost between -25 and a large roll of bubble wrap costs . Because all the major shipping companies will deny claims for items shipped in used boxes, I use new boxes for expensive and heavy equipment. I also double box any item that has tubes or glass, or is particularly fragile. This adds to the cost, but helps make sure your item arrives to you in the SAME CONDITION it was shipped. Proof of careful packing also facilitates any damage claims. (See below in FEEDBACK for general instructions on what to do if damage occurs during shipping.)
If you choose to ship by FED EX, and provided PayPal with a valid email address, you will receive tracking information from FED EX when your item ships, and communications regarding any issues they run into.

I leave feedback when you pay for your item. When you receive the item, please unpack it right away, and carefully inspect for damage and function. Please leave positive feedback for me after you have verified this.
If the item is damaged, it is VERY IMPORTANT you keep ALL the packing materials and boxes until the shipper has inspected them.　YOU will need to file a claim with the shipper. In addition, please contact me, since we will need to work together to resolve the claim.
