359 pp + the last 6 pages of ads have been removed, there are many b/w illustrations, the book and contents are solid, the pages are lightly browned and have hardly any soil, the front endpapers have the former owner's names ( 3 of one and 1 of the other ) stamped and written in ink and pencil along with his city and state, the owner has idenfified themself as a Phrenologist on the rear endpapers have 12 numbers ( mostly a single line ) of information about the Cranial Nerves, the last page of text has 5 lines of information penciled on the verso, the covers are tight and have corner and edge wear along with scuffing, the rear cover has a quarter sized ink stain on side, this is, however, a solid and usable book. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
This book is a must for the serious collector of rare Bizarre Subjects and Unusual Medical works.
