    Extremely rare and nearly impossible to find. Zenith clock radio Prototype Vintage 50s 1950s Zenith Clock Radio AM/FM S 49314 in great condition and working, no cracks, no chips, all parts are original and has been well taken care of for being decades old. Acquired from original owner who received as a gift from a Zenith employee who had access to the product before it was released to the public and the original owner has had it for close to 65 years. This may have been a prototype for this Zenith model as it has an added feature on front that has not been seen on listed model photos. The radio, speakers and sound work really well for being decades old. Mid Century Modern MCM fm/am radio working, original power cord attached, no damage to power cord, power working, alarm sound working, clock just recently stopped, but clock has been working since the 1950s when first received, may be an easy fix, not an electrical expert. The radio dial goes all the way to the number 100, but doesn’t go beyond that point, not sure if this was the way it was made. There is some wear on top and bottom, the two plastic protectors that cover the on/off switch and alarm switch came off decades ago. All of the other parts are original and all intact. Buyers from Hawaii and Alaska if interested please inquire as shipping may be a bit more. Approx measurements 13 ¾ inches x 7 ½ inches x 7 ½ inches.
