Description
Visconti Vallecchi 1913 (La Cerva)Manufactured by Visconti in 2009 to celebrate the
foundation of famous publishing house Vallecchi's magazine “LACERBA”, considered by many to be the quintessential “poster” of Futurism art. Many important artists like Severini, Boccioni, Marinetti and Picasso were featured in the Lacerba magazine. “Lacerba” was born in Florence on 1 January 1913
.
The design of Lacerba reflects the dualism of that artistic period. Futuristic painting is engraved on the pen body with a “scrimshaw” technique, while sterling silver and black bands on the cap are inspired by the Art Nuoveau Period.
On the body of the pen, the scrimshaw technique has been used to portray “La Danza Serpentina” from Severini. Severini’s painting as well as other design elements on the cap and barrel have been effected using the antique technique of scrimshaw on metal.
A limited edition series of 913 pieces.
Cartridge/converter filler fountain pen with screw-on cap. Converter fitted
