Vintage RCA Victor Model 96X1 - Brown Bakelite Vacuum Tube Radio, ART DECO !

This came in from a collector's estate , he collected for the looks, he did not care if they worked,
This is a beauty.  I plugged it in and has a static , no stations found , tuning seems to only go half way across...  Unplugged it, no further testing done.
the cabinet has no cracks, no chips. very very very nice, cannot tell if knobs are original?    is missing cardboard back ...
if you got this repaired, wow would it be a nice showpiece.  I do not over talk my items. but this is nice. great curved art deco style.
cord good,  just a darn nice radio,  ( needs fixed internally).  needs lightly q-tip cleaned for dust.  again great cabinet.

a GOOD MAN  said this is a 96X1 and indeed it looks like it from web , and knobs do look original....
and  says it is:
