Vintage Philco Transitone Model 53-562 Broadcast Special Services Radio Working!

Description

Vintage Philco Transitone Model 53-562 Broadcast/Special Services radio that is in good working condition.  Radio has been partially restored as evidenced by the new caps in the chassis.  Radio is able to receive stations quite readily, with good sound and no background noise on the AM band.  The Special Services band is a sea, air and short wave band.  Body of radio is in very good condition, with some minor scratches and a nick on the front top edge.  The defects do not detract from the overall appearance.   The knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well.  The power cord is in excellent condition.  In order to ensure safe delivery, the radio will be double boxed.    Do not hesitate to make an offer,  all will be considered.
