    Description

You will receive the actual fret board and inlays in the pictures.  Nice dark piece of rosewood.  There is a small little strip of orange coloring in the wood as shown so price is discounted.
CNC cut from east Indian rosewood.  Made to a more vintage spec with the Rule of 18.000 using the 24.75" scale length.  Most frets from 1 through 12 are in the same location but the higher frets 13-21 get progressively closer to the bridge than if doing a 24.56" scale length with rule 17.817 as the divisor.  Fret slots follow the top carve 12" radius.  Inlays cavities follow the 12" radius contour and are of a shallower vintage ~0.040" deep.  The inlay cavities were finish passed with a 0.018" end mill so the corners are well finished and will take minimal to no cleaning up to get the inlays into the cavities.  The outside dimensions of the fret board are of a vintage spec that uses a very thin binding compared to modern Les Pauls.  The top radius will have slight machining marks that will need sanded off.  The thickness of the fret board is a more modern ~0.250".
The inlays are CNC cut to match the cavity routes on the fret boards for a clean, professional finished product. To have a tight inlay to pocket interface for a very clean finished product, each individual inlay may need a little sanding to get into the inlay cavity.  You can either chip out the sharp corners on the fret board pocked or slightly round the sharp corners of the inlays as well.  The inlays are 2mm thick and will need glued in to the fret board, and then sanded to final thickness.  The raw material was carefully chosen for these inlays to give a higher end look compared to some of the cheaper pearloid materials out there.
