Description

50ML Non-corrosive gasketing material designed primarily for use on aluminum,iron, and steel flanged mating surfaces. Ideal when a conventionalgasket is unavailable (not for use w/ conventional gaskets). Fills gaps up to .015” and cures to a solvent-resistant seal that will not tear or decay during service. Suggested app: Transmission Case Covers, Transaxle Casings, Pump, Housings.

Ideal for on-the-spot and emergency repairs, or when a conventional gasket is unavailable.
Fills gaps up to .015" and cures to a solvent-resistant seal that will not tear or decay during service.
Parts disassemble easily even after extended service
Old gasket material can be removed in minutes with a simple putty knife
Suggested Applications:
Water pumps, thermostat housings, transmission pans, transmission case covers, transaxle casings, o-ring replacement.
TO MAKE A GASKET:
Clean both flange surfaces. Remove paint, dirt, grease or old gasket completely.
Spray Permatex® Surface Prep™ activator on one surface only. Allow to dry 1-2 minutes.
Apply a continuous bead of sealant to the unprimed surface.
Assemble mating surfaces with minimal lateral movement. Excess sealant can be wiped away with a cloth and shop solvent.
TO DRESS A GASKET:
Clean both flange surfaces. Remove paint, dirt, grease or old gasket completely
Spray Permatex® Surface Prep™ activator to both flange surfaces. Allow to dry 1-2 minutes.
Completely cover both sides of the precut gasket with sealant.
Place coated gasket on flange, and assemble mating surfaces with minimal lateral movement.
