used in historic downtown of
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY
THESE OLD "HOTEL TAGS" ARE SCARCE TODAY.....THIS ONE HAS GOOD AGE, AND THESE OLD VINYL TAGS CAN GO BACK TO EARLY 1940'S........THIS COMES OUT OF A KENTUCKY TOKEN COLLECTION, ORIGINAL OWNER ALSO HAD A FEW KENTUCKY HOTEL TAGS (watch for future listings)
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, SEEMS LIKE "TAGS AND KEYS" ARE DISAPPEARING FROM THE WORLD (CARS, HOTELS, ETC)...NOW WHEN YOU CHECK INTO A HOTEL YOU GET A CHEEZY  CARD TO SWIPE....THESE OLD HOTEL TAGS ARE FROM THE PAST, AND A LITTLE PC OF HOTEL HISTORY
MANY OF THESE OLD ICONIC "DOWNTOWN" HOTELS HAVE BEEN DEMOLISHED OVER THE YEARS...NOT SURE IF "THE CARDINAL" HOTEL STILL STANDS TODAY ????....ALSO, LOVE THE "DROP IN ANY MAILBOX"....AND POST OFFICE WOULD RETURN IT....TRY THAT WITH YOUR FLIMSY "ROOM CARD" TODAY .....  :)
Hotel tag is red vinyl or bakelite or plastic with white writing, odd shaped,  about 3 3/4" long when fully extended with key, and it displays
well
