    suicide knob that are used in  Insane Asylums and Prisons throughout the US.
    This were used with Yale 8700
    knob
    mortise locks.  These are similar or identical one used on Corbin and Yale and Sargent Anti ligature locks selling for over 00 as complete locksets
    Great to utilize as a  paperweight or conversation piece.
    GREAT PIECE TO HANG ON TO IF YOU CAN
    The purpose of this knob is to prevent occupants of these institutions from hanging themselves or pulling the knobs off the doors to escape or use the knobs as a weapon. Everyone should have one of these!
