Featuring:
 The vibration measuring and balancing instrument MI 2100 is a modern instrument for measuring mechanical vibrations and for balancing rotors at site. The MI 2100 is designed for industrial use. It can be used for the measuring and monitoring of rotational speed, vibrations of rotating machinery and the condition of rolling bearings. The vibrations may be measured either selectively with regard to machine speed or as overall vibration.
 By measuring the overall vibration the effective vibration velocity (RMS value) is being evaluated. This value is used for the assessment of machine vibrations according to ISO 10816.
 MI 2100 also measures the vibration synchronous to rotor speed. This vibration is mainly caused by unbalance. The comparison between overall and synchronous vibration shows whether balancing may improve a machine's vibration condition. If both values have a similar magnitude balancing will most probably lead to an improvement.
 Unbalance is the most frequent source of vibrations. Using the MI 2100 rotors are effectively being balanced in single or dual plane mode. Therefore the instrument supports common mass correction methods such as balancing in rotor components or the spread angle method.
 Rolling bearing faults start almost undetected, but then show rapid growth and cause costly machine breakdown. Such a fault can be noticed in time by measuring and monitoring the rolling bearing condition. Thus a rolling bearing can be exchanged during a scheduled maintenance.
 The actual measuring or balancing data are saved by the MI 2100. They can be sent directly to a printer or transferred to a PC.
 The operation of the MI 2100 is simple and intuitive. The instrument provides a display with a high contrast for good readability. Thus it serves for a good overview and prevents faulty operation or misinterpretations.
 The MI 2100 processes the measuring data using a digital signal processor. This guarantees a quick and precise calculation of the measuring results.
 The MI 2100 provides the connection of accelerometers with a sensitivity of 100, 500 and 1,000 mV/g. An integrated sensor monitoring makes sure that a connected accelerometer is functional.
 With the use of modern accumulators MI 2100 is mobile for a long time. An integrated indicator of the charging condition informs in time when the accumulators have to be recharged
