Grundig 4006U German tube radio - Refurbished - works

Description

For sale is a Grundig 4006U from 1959. Radio is in fair to good condition. Has Phono and tape input plus AM, SW, and FM.
Has Bass and Treble controls. The radio also has 3 speakers, all work. Radio was stereo, but the left half of the volume control was bad, so it is now mono.
The radio has a built-in ferrite AM antenna, and FM antenna.
Tubes installed are: ECC85, EF89, ECH81, EABC80, ECC83, 2 X EL95, and EM84.
The radio has been refurbished:
Electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, main filter capacitor has been restuffed with Nichicon UCY capacitors. Other smaller electrolytics have been replaced with long life Nichicon capacitors as well.
Replaced all film capacitors, controls have been cleaned.
Tubes tested, radio has been aligned. FM IF might need some touching up, strong stations are good, weak stations are distorted. AM sounds great.
Cabinet has been refinished, when I got the radio, someone had painted it an off white. Luckily it still retained most of the original finish, so the white paint did not get into the veneer. I stripped it all and applied a mid century modern finish that was originally on it. Radio does have a back, although it is warped.
Three of the corners on the front have cracks. You can see one on the second picture.
Radio measures 22" X 14" X 9 1/2".
