    Description

    Depression Glass Madrid Yellow by Federal Glass Footed Creamer Vintage 1976.
    This footed creamer is a reproduction. Yellow or topaz color
    Madrid pattern
    Measures 3 1/4"tall x 3 1/2" across top Base 2 1/4"
    There are several ways to tell but the most evident is the 76 embossed just below the pattern
    Also spouts on new creamers rise above the top rim. as this one does.
    How handles join the body of the cup viewed from inside.
    Old handles form a pointed teardrop; NEW are rounded as this one is
    Note:Original Madrid pattern depression glass was made by Federal Glass Company and produced from 1932 to 1939. In 1976 Federal changed the pattern name to Recollection and began making new pieces from new molds. The first new pieces of Recollection were easily identified because pieces were dated in the mold with the year "76". But then Federal went bankrupt and the molds were sold to Indiana Glass who removed the date from the molds Spouts on new creamers rise above the top rim. as this one does.
