The Visconti Opera is one of Visconti’s most intensely iconic collections. The Visconti Opera’s squared circle form, combining a square and a circle, is the perfect ergonomic shape for the writing instrument. The exclusive Opera design, which has been an iconic element of Visconti’s identity since 2003, is now available as a fountain pen with the patented hook safe lock closing system in Aluminum. The Visconti Opera Metal collection is made of anodized colored avional. Avional is a high strength aluminum alloy and is used in aeronautics for highly stressed but lightweight parts. The Visconti Opera Metal fountain pen is enhanced by the Visconti patented Smartouch Tubular nib and uses a cartridge/converter filling system.
Smartouch Tubular Nib: After extensive testing Visconti introduced the new Smartouch Tubular Nib. Its special shape is turned from a capillary tube made of Chromium 18. The tube precisely wraps around the feed, resulting in a unique shape and allowing the user to fill the pen without the need to dip the entire grip and nib section into ink. This results in a cleaner and more efficient fill and, due to the nib's uniquely positioned air hole and design, the nib will stay wet for longer before drying out.
