This exquisite hand-painted "Old Viennese Rose" demitasse cup and saucer was made by the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten, Austria.
Cup Basics
The cup stands 2" (5cm) tall, 2 3/4" (7 cm) wide at the top, and holds 100 ml.
The saucer is 5" (12.5 cm) in diameter and stands 7/8" (2.3 cm) tall.
Marked on the underside of the cup is the under-glaze blue "crown over beehive" mark, number "70" (shape), "5784" (pattern), and 171 (decorator).
Marked on the bottom of the saucer you will find the blue under-glaze mark and the red over-glaze stamp mark.
Condition
The cup and saucer are in mint condition.
There are no condition issues with this set.

Established in 1923, the Vienna Porcelain Manufacturing Augarten revived the tradition of the historic Vienna Porcelain Manufactory (1718-1864) by continuing the production methods and patterns of the fabled old porcelain firm.
The porcelain of the original Vienna Manuafactory is often referred to Alt Wien (old Vienna) porcelain to distinguish itself from the new Augarten manufactory.
The Cup and Saucer
This hand-painted older style Viennese Rose cup and saucer set is decorated in purplish pink with a two-tone green color rose stem with a bud and leaves.
There are also small flowers sprinkled on the backside of the cup.
The handle is formed like a twig, and both cup and saucer have a red line bordering the rim.
