Leonard was a major importer of Count Thun porcelain between 1890 and 1910. I was told Count Thuns portrait plates are rare. I just want it to go to a good home to continue to be loved-cherished and displayed as it has been since before the turn of the century.
P.H. Leonard, Vienna, Austria. Leonard was a New York importer well known for importing high quality Bohemian, Austrian and French porcelain during the last quarter of the 19th century.
If you know more about this plate-please educate me-I will not raise the price on you-I just want it to go to a good home. I like to imagine what this plate has seen through the years-it must be amazing.
The lines in the pictures are not deep cracks just the lines from age in the glaze as is to be expected. The plate itself is not cracked or chipped. It is very sturdy.
