1960's Vintage Lafayette Radio Explor-Air 4 Band Short Wave Model KT-135 working

Description

This is a working with slight hum Lafayette Radio Electronics  Model KT-135  Explor-Air  4 Band Radio.  Medium band and 3 Short Wave bands. Some parts are not original due to their lack of availability.  I've heard radio transmissions on all 4 bands. I usually listen to AM stations due to the short wave bands rely on atmospheric conditions.  I used a wire antenna which I threw out my basement window to listen to the stations.  The tubes are taped down for shipping, I would remove the tape when you take possession of it.   Cabinet is unfinished pine as you see in the pictures.  Although the radio plays like a normal radio ( plug it in,  turn the volume control to on and let it warm up ).     YOU are buying a 50+ year old electronic device that have many finger prints on it,   Please operate it with care. Radio will be sent insured signature may be required.
