1952 TRAV-LER Vintage Radio & Electric Timer Clock Model 5170 Read Description. Condition is "Used".Note, I am not an expert with radios so everything I list below is through research available on the internet and through personal observation. I will be listing several vintage radios I acquired from a collector and will be as specific as possible. Please look at the pictures provided and feel free to message me with any questions about the condition. As far as technical questions, I can’t help you much. Thank you.
This listing is for a non-working 1952 TRAV-LER superheterodyne radio and electric timer clock combination.
It DOES power on however and static comes through but no radio. May be an easy fix for a radio enthusiast however it’s just an assumption on my part. The seconds hand on the clock moves.
The radio is housed in a beautifully stained, honey color, solid wood cabinet. The cabinet does have some wear issues of which I included a picture of. They range from some edge wear, light scratches and it looks as if the varnish is wearing off on the sides.
The knobs are all there and everything seems to work as it should in that respect. There is a what appears to be a scratch on the bottom right of the clock crystal but doesn’t distract from the overall look. The colors on this unit from the burgundy knobs, and dials m, the bronze trim pieces and stylized numbers really make this a cool looking vintage piece.
The back piece is in excellent condition as is the bottom.
Overall, this is a stylish piece and I hope it can be brought back to optimum working condition. It makes a great decorating piece even in this condition.
