Description
1922 to 1942 Bedford Coca Cola Bottling Company black formula and record book.This little 3 ring notebook contains many pages of formulas and ingredient amounts to make the soda and coca products that were mixed at the plant. It also has the record of the cartons or gallons made each month starting 1922 to 1942.
In 1921 the first Coca Cola plant was managed by Doyle Anderson and was located at 817 15th St. just off the square east of the Lawrence county jail. Around 1924 it was located at 14th and I St. where it made carbonated beverages. In 1932 it was located to it's new plant at 17th and H St. in Bedford.
At the start of the cola industry the ingredients of Coca Cola and soft drink sodas were a well guarded secret. Some of the formulas are: Orange Crush, Cherry Blossom, Liquid Lemon, Coca Crush, Cream Soda, Strawberry-Cherry, Marvel Strawberry, Marvel Lemon, Grapette, Grape Whip, Root Beer, Indian Queen, Lemon Crush, and others.
The is a one of a kind museum piece and you won't see another one.
