U.S. 1898 TRANS- MISSISSIPPI ISSUE BI-COLORED ESSAYS PROOF CARD - 1c to Issue VonCorp Reproduction on 10X7 cardstock:
This card shows a essay proof card reproduction of the Trans Mississippi Expo Issue of 1898 in the bi-colored designs that the bureau wanted to use but was not done in favor of budget, fancy stamps were considered too extravagant but a centennial reissue was issued with the bi-colored designs in 1998. THIS IS MY PERSONAL COPY because of my declining health I'm selling off my collection. I did business with the printer & his family (the Von Steins aka Dunedin Stamp Company") in the 1990's  before he passed away in 2001 and after with his widow (until she passed soon after) and with their son Paul until 2003 when he sold all remaining inventory and the family property in Dunedin, FL. where we dropped out of touch. In fact I'm selling a used set of the original stamps pictured in the proof in my other auctions.
This is a unique opportunity to own the best depiction of US rare stamps and proofs EVER created! Only 5000 numbered sets were ever produced! Most of the production is long since gone!  It was produced in 1972.

! The card depicting the issue is in full vibrant color. The Cards are exquisite, enlarged full color reproductions of the more elusive, expensive and unusually scarce US Philatelic Gems, items which most collectors will never possess because of prohibitive cost or extremely limited availability.
